10 people I have met who impressed me the most (and why)

Ive met many different people who tend to impress me, but I can think of 10 who have just blown me off my feet. Either I have learned great values and lessons in life from them, or I aspire to be like them.



1. My mom. In many ways she has impressed me, but only in certain ways do I aspire to be like her. She has impressed me through her strive and strength to be a mother and raise me. I'm more-so impressed with what she provided for me, compared to the childhood she had. She did a fabulous job providing a home and relationship of just a mother and daughter along with unconditional love, and a bond that is irreplaceable.



2. My brother, Jonathan. Jonathan isn't my blood brother, but I am sooooo impressed and proud of him. We had the same "father", but anyhow...I remember growing up and him getting in tons of trouble. He was into bad things. He was into drugs and other illegal things. His father, as for my quote un quote father, was never a father and just plain ole' shitaay. Jonathan was always interested in other races than his own, therefore he has always struggled with the family excepting him. He ended up having a child, and this little child has turned his life around. He is the best father that I've seen, he has his own company, and finally grew up. He has impressed me to no end. I am soo happy and proud of him. He rose above his own mess and has brought this precious little boy, Kayden, into the world with nothing but love.



3. Chelsea, my odd soul sister. Chelsea, ohh where to begin...this girl is amazing. She is opposite of me, but in all the good ways. Chelsea has impressed me with her strength to overcome the worldly sins and pressures. But not only with that, but her ability to guide me in situations that her life hasn't led her to encounter and how she can complete my feelings and thoughts, thus never being there in that situation. I love her...and she impresses me continuously with her growth in religion and accomplishments in life.



4. Angela. I met Angela when I was like 15. She is an older "sister" to me. I am very impressed with how she has overcome some hard tasks in her life, which have influenced me to only push myself harder and definitely ended all types of pity parties for myself. She has taught me many values and lessons needed for me to learn. I am impressed with how she somehow provides me a weird, tough, unconditional love.

5. Heather, my other half..that I aspire to be. Heather is an amazing girl that is blossoming into a beautiful young woman. I am truly impressed at her drive to do nothing but the best, but its in such a good "be the best" kind of way..because in so many other ways she is so imperfect that it makes her "perfect" little part perfect...I don't know if that makes any sense. She has soo many accomplishments that impress me to no end, not only that but our friendship is odd, and she is just one of those people that makes you realize how certain people are placed into your life. It seems odd, because they are nothing like you in many ways, but when you are able to see how you effect them and they effect you...its awesome.

6-10....I have many people that impress me, but I havent encountered the rest to write about them, therefore 6-10 will be stay empty and one day be filled in. I'm still young and have many people to encounter and learn about and from.

It has been a cloudy, rainy day. Indeed, I am proud of myself for sticking it out today. I feel stuffy, snotty, and crappy and have managed to not use that as an excuse to go home today. My classes don't require that much of me, so I figured that I could hang around. I love fourth period. Jaz is amazing, the life she brings to the people around her. She is a blessing, and has such good intentions in life and that I admire her for. She managed to share what she wants to do for college and life with me yesterday. How amazing are her dreams, and considerate along with loving. She's fabulous. Along with Tip and Mike...they make me happy.
the rain...
it is non-emotional but inspiring to do something purposeful. When it rains your emotions and feelings are open to range of how you feel. I feel like poo right now...but love the weather. It reminds me, or rather I try to take myself there, of Wilmington. Therefore, reminding me to make through the day...hang in there and quit stressing over things I can't change. I want to listen to coldplay...ahh! or dance in the rain. yeah dance in the rain.

i have 4 more assignments to do...so this shall end for now.

Journal numero 1(this week)3/3/08

Prom...
Not so good of a beginning eh? Okay, so prom is coming up and it's not that big of a deal to me, I mean it is but it isn't. I just enjoy the idea of stepping out of reality momentarily with the intentions of looking beautiful for the night. Prom will be nice this year, it's senior year and it will be straight for sure. I already have my dress, and ohh how beautiful it is. Thank god it doesn't look like last years, or for that matter thank god I've lost some weight since last years. :) So my dress is a hand.

Which is sweet, yes I have automatically saved 200$ plus! Wuss up?? nice. I know. Plus the good thing about my dress is it wasn't even worn last year or ever for that matter. The colors are hard to describe because they are somewhat translucent with turquoise and a dark fuscia, plum, grey kind of color. It just flows so nicely. But indeed I have to hit the gym for my arms. I want them to be shapely, rather than giggly. hah.

okay next scenario.
date...ughhh...it aggravates me so bad. It is the whole idea of a 'prom date' that gets me. With me just being me, I either want to just go with me because I'm just too independent and chatty to go with someone I'm going to have to keep up with. Plus, the person I'd enjoy going with is like my "undercover date", which is lame because he's got a girlfriend and it's all for that reason that he's undercover. I just want someone to have there for when pictures are being taken with your "date" and to sit beside at dinner. That's it. I mean geez it's me. I'm going to receive that from my "undercover date" but then the part of me that just wonders what it would be like to have a "normal" evening with a real date that got me that dumb flower that goes on your wrist and all that stuff. no worries.
Anyhow...Its my fault that I'm independent and would rather role solo. So indeed I will. It's just the idea that keeps me curious. It'll be fun, with good food and a great atmosphere.

Fried Green Tomatoes

1. Ninny inspires Evelyn to lose weight and stay away from those candy bars, along with get her marriage back. Evelyn gets her a job to take up some of her time, and its pretty successful.
2. In the outer frame of the story there is only Evelyn and Ed, who are married with no sex. Ms. Threadgood and Evelyn meet in the nursing home. Evelyn goes with Ed to see his aunt, but his aunt hates visitors, or maybe just her.
3. In the inner story the two main characters are Ruth and Idgie( who are not lovers Tip and Mike) but best friends. They both lost someone they loved dearly and therefore resorted to each other for comfort and protection.
4. It was ironic how the preacher got on the stand and testified for Idgie, considering the hell she gave him, and lied that she was at revival. It was so sweet. Plus her and big George didn't have to go to jail. nice.
5. The railroad tracks in the beginning was my favorite vignette. I liked the good part of that one where Ruth and Idgie are young and walking with Buddy, well and before he gets hit. :(
6. Good ole' Frank Bennett comes back into town to take his son, Buddy jr. It was a summer night, where all the town was at one function. He breaks into the Whistle Cafe where is Ms. Ottis is cleaning up and babysitting. Ruth is out on a revival trip, where Idgie is doing an acting show in town. Frank slams open the door with his rifle, and comes marching in with his boots. His boots are the sound of danger getting closer and closer to Ms. Ottis. Reaching her, he hits the poor sweet ole' woman in the head with his gun, knocking her old frail body to the ground. Frank then grabs Buddy, ready to kidnap him. As Frank opens his door to the truck, Mr. Smokey taps him on his shoulder politely and said " Sir, I don't think he belongs to you." Frank then lays one out on him with his fist so hard that the man had no stand. Smokey hits the ground, soon to be on his feet again to get his point across that the baby isn't his. Franks swings another one at the homeless man and he hits the ground again. As Frank thinks that he's got his son and is ready to go, Ms. Ottis surprises him with a heavy frying pan over the back of his head. She positioned that frying pan over the back of her head with two hands, getting more of a momentum, and swung it over her with all her might to knock him down, accidentally killing him.
